Two years

Two years ago today I casually took a woman's hand, for no other reason than to prevent her from going away for a minute until I could give her my full attention. I could never have predicted that such a simple gesture would lead to love, companionship, and marriage, but it did, and I am the luckiest man in the universe for it having done so.

Words seem so inadequate for description -- my entire existence feels as if it is bursting with love; I know that I will be happy forever; I look forward to every day -- see? Inadequate.


This isn't just addressed to Jen, and it isn't just a "memo to file," so to speak. All of you, my friends, have helped in one way or another -- by making my wedding the "social event of the year", or just supporting me back when I was alone and lonely -- and you have my heartfelt thanks and love. I hope that I can manage to be half as wonderful to you as you all have been to me.


Sadly, I've managed to come down with a head cold today, so this anniversary won't be celebrated with a fancy dinner out as we have previously, but Jen will be coming home to me in a little over an hour, and we'll be together, and that's all I need. All I need.
